100% Client-Side Privacy
Your CAD geometry never leaves your workstation. OpenCASCADE executes entirely inside a browser-local WebAssembly sandbox.
Model Inspection
Inspect the exact tessellated mesh buffer in 3D before exporting. Toggle wireframe rendering, coordinate axes, and reference grid.
Mesh Validation
Detect zero-area degenerate triangles, duplicate facets, and non-manifold edges to prevent 3D printer slicing failures.

ISO 10303 StandardsWavefront OBJ Pipeline FAQ
How does the in-browser STEP to OBJ conversion work?
Your STEP (.step / .stp) file is parsed and tessellated locally via WebAssembly and converted into standard Wavefront OBJ (.obj) with vertices, vertex normals, and triangular faces entirely in browser memory. No files are uploaded to any server.
Can I open the generated OBJ files in Blender or game engines?
Yes. Wavefront OBJ is an open 3D format universally supported across Blender, Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, and WebGL applications.
Are CAD surface normals preserved in the OBJ file?
Yes. Accurate surface normals (vn) are calculated directly from the underlying B-Rep analytical geometry, giving you photorealistic lighting and smooth shading without faceted artifacts.
